World's best olive oils revealed at the NYIOOC
Results of the New York International Olive Oil Competition
On May the 8th, the results of the New York International Olive Oil Competition were revealed. Chaired by Curtis Cord, an international panel from 13 countries ranging from the US, Chile, France, Italy, Tunisia to Croatia has been tasting 900 olives oils from 26 countries. The annual competition is followed by the press, chefs, importers and distributors from North America but also the rest of the world.
The extra virgin olive oils compete in 3 categories, delicate, medium and robust. We are delighted to see all 4 of Oro Bailen's premium extra virgin olive oils winning a gold medal in the 2020 edition of the NYIOOC competition: hojiblanca (mild fruity), arbequina (mild to medium fruity), picual (medium fruity) and frantoio (robust fruity).
Oro Bailen's extra virgin olive oils are produced from a single olive varieties and cold extracted within 2 hours their harvest on their groves near Jaen in the heart of Andalusia. They are stocked within some of the UK's most prestigious food halls and delicatessen stores.
