Italian olive oils follow the patterns of the fine wine sector with a handful of exceptional artisan producers creating small quantities of olive oil grand crus. Frantoio Franci based in Tuscany has been a pioneer of Tuscan grand cru olive oil similarly to the Antinori's in fine wine. Small parcels in the beautiful Orcia valley give their name to exceptional olive juices appreciated by chefs, cookies and gourmet around the world. Frantoio Franci was named the world's best olive oil mill 2019 and received the highest score of 100 points from Flos Olei 2020, the prestigious international olive oil guide.
