Shakshuka is one of the most famous Tunisian dishes. Its arabic meaning is mixture and its origins date back to the Berber times. It is a very versatile recipe which can be eaten for breakfast. lunch or dinner. We find it particularly well suited for grilled fish or chicken. It can be served as a side or with eggs and some harissa and bread. For a delicious finish, add a drizzle of a good extra virgin olive oil and some parsley leaves and some harissa with extra heat..

Another great recipe, is to add some Shakshuka on a toasted sourdough bread and add some tuna and extra virgin olive oil.

It is made of sweet peppers, extra virgin olive oil,  tomatoes, sun-dried tomatoes, onions, sun-dried garlic, sun-dried peppers, salt and Tunisian spices. Moulins Mahjoub’s.
